Official Statement Regarding Sponsorship and Participation Fee Allocation for the 2025 World Championship

The World Federation wishes to formally address matters concerning the financial structure and distribution of sponsorship funds and participation fees associated with the 2025 World Championship, hosted in Bulgaria by SPF Street Sports Club.

It is important to clarify that all sponsorship funds allocated for this year’s championship were directed entirely to the host country, specifically to SPF Street Sports Club, the official local organizing entity. The World Federation did not receive any portion of these sponsorship funds, contrary to typical expectations and past precedents.

Moreover, while athletes registered for the championship through the Federation announced platform and paid a designated participation fee, only part of these fees were retained by the Federation. Amount of 12’500 has been allocated towards the local organizing entity SPF Street Sports Club.

The Federation had initially intended to allocate a portion of the participation fees toward athletes’ cash prizes; however, due to last-minute logistical and financial complications, this plan could not be executed.

In addition, it is important to note that, for the first time, the Federation did not charge any license fee to the local host for the right to organize the championship.

Despite the Federation’s extensive efforts, planning, and administrative support for the championship, it has regrettably not realized any financial gain from either the sponsorships or full participation fees. The Federation is currently facing significant financial strain, including difficulty in meeting operational expenses. As a result, the conclusion of the 2025 World Championship has left the Federation in a precarious financial position.

It should be noted that, in a significant development, the judges and referee teams were fully compensated for their travel expenses and were also paid a salary for their officiating duties during the event, marking a milestone in the Federation’s commitment to professionalism and fairness.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all athletes, national bodies, and supporters for their continued understanding and commitment during this challenging time. The Federation remains dedicated to the integrity and future of the sport and is actively exploring sustainable solutions for financial recovery.
