Official Public Announcement from the World Street Workout and Calisthenics Federation

Subject: Formal Apology and Statement Regarding Judging Irregularities in Endurance and Power Disciplines at the 2025 World Championship

To all athletes, coaches, delegations, and members of the global calisthenics community,

We are issuing this public statement with the utmost sincerity and responsibility following the recent review of the Endurance and Power disciplines at the most recent World Calisthenics Championship. This announcement is made to openly acknowledge the judging inconsistencies that occurred, to offer our sincere apologies, and to transparently share the corrective actions being taken in the aftermath.

What Happened

Following the conclusion of the Championship, we received numerous concerns and formal queries regarding the fairness and accuracy of results in certain categories within the Endurance and Power disciplines. As a result, the federation initiated a comprehensive post-event review, involving a complete re-evaluation of score sheets, performance footage, and judge conduct reports.

We must now officially confirm that serious human errors were indeed made in the scoring and evaluation process by some members of the judging panels responsible for these disciplines. These mistakes led to incorrect athlete placements during the award ceremonies.

Corrective Actions Taken

  • Revisions of Scores and Rankings: The affected categories have been fully reviewed by an independent and impartial panel of experts. Several placements have been corrected as a result, and all final scores have now been updated accordingly on our official website and channels.
  • Notification of Affected Athletes: Athletes who were impacted by the misjudgments have been or are in the process of being directly contacted by the federation, and the necessary arrangements for medal and certificate corrections are being made.
  • Judicial Accountability: We acknowledge that these errors were not the fault of the athletes, nor of the federation’s administrative team. The responsibility lies directly with the judging team appointed for these disciplines. We are therefore taking disciplinary action and holding the Head of Judges accountable for the oversight and failure to ensure quality control, accuracy, and consistency in scoring.

 Our Apology

We recognize that an apology cannot undo the emotional impact or the sense of injustice felt by those athletes who trained relentlessly for this moment. We understand that many of you were left feeling disappointed, overlooked, or disrespected, and for this, we are truly and deeply sorry.

Standing on a podium, receiving the rightful recognition in front of your peers, family, and audience, is a moment that can never be replaced once taken. We failed to protect that experience for some of you, and we will work harder than ever to ensure that such a situation does not occur again in the future.

Building a Better Future Together

As we move forward, we are taking this incident as a clear signal for systemic improvement. The federation is now prioritizing:

  • Overhauling the Judge Selection and Training Process
  • Introducing Real-Time Oversight and Video Review Systems
  • Enhancing Scoring Transparency and Athlete Access to Score Breakdown
  • Stronger Post-Event Appeal Channels for Timely Review

We cannot achieve these improvements alone. Therefore, we are actively inviting feedback and insights from athletes, members, coaches, and professionals across all disciplines, especially from those within the Endurance and Power communities. Your voice matters more than ever in helping us build a stronger, more reliable structure for future events.

In Closing

We know that trust must be earned, and this situation has challenged that trust. We ask for your understanding, your honesty, and your continued passion for the sport. Together, we will turn this mistake into a catalyst for positive transformation, because our athletes deserve nothing less than fairness, excellence, and accountability at every level.

Thank you for your patience, your resilience, and your dedication to the sport of calisthenics.
