QUESTIONS:
How did you get involved in the street workout world?
My father began to train me in the street when I was 5 years old. Firstly I didn’t want to train. But he promised every time that I would play in playstation after training. Then when I got my first results in training I began to ask my father to go with me and train in the street.
Why did you choose to practice street workout?
First of all, it’s free of charge. Unfortunately, my family was very poor. There are 4 children. That’s why my parents had not money to pay for my training in a special sport school.
The second, I executed many base movements easy. (It was obtained easy for me). That’s why I improved my skills enough quickly.
How is street workout reflected in your life?
Very well.
I think, I’m a healthy, strong and enduring man.
I get a chance to travel to other cities (to give workshops/shows or to participate in competition). I like it very much because I can see sights there and meet new people. It’s very interesting.
I get work in very good projects.
I met my beloved Lina one year ago at the street workout festival.
What are your short term, mid term and long term goals with street workout?
I learn new elements for me, try to improved elements which I can do but not very well (“impossible”, handstand on one hand, full planch on one hand). Also I try to create new movements or combination from movements. I’d like to increase my strength and endurance. I feel big adrenalin when I do something new for me what I could not do before or what I create myself.
How many times do you workout during the week?
In a day or in 2 days. It depends how I feel. I must get the rest my body.
Do you have any specific workout plan or you just improvise and do your thing?
No, I haven’t. Only improvisation. Training depends on how I feel, my mood.
Which would be the most complex move you achieved (tell us about the process it took you, to achieve it)?
Full planche push-ups with claps behind my back.
(Full planch push-ups very many times, handstand, and rise from full planch to handstand and back).
Which would be the best experience you had doing street workout?
The best experience was participation in Street Workout World Cup! That was an unforgettable great sport event. It was big honour for me to compete with such a strongest athletes from different countries. I saw their performances in reality and got amazing impression and motivation to train and improve my skills.
What inspire or motivate you to keep on doing street workout?
Other athletes who can do what I can’t do.
Music.
My beloved Lina who always is with me and helps me in everything.
Which would be the worst experience you had doing street workout?
I injured my left shoulder doing front lever on a left hand at the International street workout championship (28.07.2013). I could not do full planch at all next couple of weeks. Then I felt acute pain in my left shoulder during more 6 months doing workout.
What do you expect from the street workout community in the next couple of years?
More festivals and competitions where people from different countries can show their skills, meet and communicate. That would be great to be an international street workout camp near a sea. People from all world could come there for a couple of weeks. They live there and have a rest, train together, communicate. It would be big street workout competition in the end of the camp. I think it would be great.
Can you give an advise for all the people that would like to start doing street workout?
Make base movements and exercises.
Don’t be in hurry to learn full planch and other difficult elements.
Be patient. Try and try again. Don’t give up training. Everybody needs time to achieve results.
Limit physical activity to avoid injury.
