QUESTIONS:
How did you get involved in the street workout world?
I was a professional handball Player and when I stop and come back in my town team there wasn’t any physical preparation. So I find on internet some tutorials for workout and I begin with 10×1 pullups. 2 month after I was at Pull&Push contest.
Why did you choose to practice street workout?
Because Street Workout is healthy and you only lift your own weight. Second point is that I prefer train outdoor than in a gym.
How is street workout reflected in your life?
Street workout take an important part in my life, it’s an everytime work. It’s a lifestyle. All my family is now training, my wife take part in a Girl Team in my town and my daughters always playin on the bars.
What are your short term, mid term and long term goals with street workout?
In short term I want to get 100% clean with all (MU, Lever) and complete my BBR’s.
Mid term is to organize DK workout Fest 2k14 in my town because last year it was a success. Long term is to develop healthy lifestyle and SW in my country, goin in school to teach at all this lifestyle, continue to invest in development of Street Workout and see as many as possible my Bar-barians brother.
How many times do you workout during the week?
I’m tryin to workout minimum 4 times a week, sometimes 6, sometimes 5. It’s depends to my feelings on my body, I’m fitness coach and always handball player. Sometimes your body feel tired so I must adjust my trainings.
Do you have any specific workout plan or you just improvise and do your thing?
When I start I just improvise when I arrive in the park. Now I try to plan all my trainings.
Which would be the most complex move you achieved (tell us about the process it took you, to achieve it)?
It was the muscle up for me because as I say in December 2k12 I broke my elbow (full luxation) so it was hard to come back on this kind of move. I train a lot on negative and with elastic band and hard on Dips bar to get stronger on triceps.
Which would be the best experience you had doing street workout?
First was Meeting Zef Zakaveli & Hit Richards at Pull&Push 2012, second is all the love and good vibes all around workout, this family spirit is really impressive I think about Vanna & Jay from Netherlands, Jay, Migs, Stephen from UK and all people I could meet and change my vision of life.
What inspire or motivate you to keep on doing street workout?
When I see young people at the park tryin to do what we do and ask me tips, when you receive positive feelings from people.
Which would be the worst experience you had doing street workout?
I’m tryin to see positive in all experience so until it’s bad I’m tryin to see good vibes on it, but if I had to say something that disturb me it’s lots of haters and pretentious people.
What do you expect from the street workout community in the next couple of years?
I hope that we can have federation in all country it’s important for development of our sport, I hope that we can meet people from all over the world as regularly as possible because share state of mind and experiences are important.
Can you give an advise for all the people that would like to start doing street workout?
Don’t watch other when I begin all people watchin me as an “U.F.O” in the park. Try to be better than yesterday and never refuse to give help and advice to someone and always do the “A” before the “Z” I see to much person makin MU and don’t know how to Pullups.
